Choreography Pilot Program (CPP)

DMF Inc., will invite eligible choreographers who have non-profit status, charity registration documents, or an umbrella non-profit organization to apply for the CPP27. The award granted to each contemporary dance choreographer and his/her dance artists will be solely for generating a new work in contemporary genres. Contemporary ballet and classical ballet works are not included.  ​

 

The focus of the CPP27 is to fund a new premiere work. An artist cannot recreate, edit or redo a historic work. Only original, new works will be funded. The premiere of the funded work must take place in NYC.

 

This invitation-only choreography pilot program application is non-transferable.

 

Funding is for 2027 only. The entire project must be completed by November 15, 2027.
