Danse Mirage Foundation, Inc.
DMF Inc., will invite eligible choreographers who have non-profit status, charity registration documents, or an umbrella non-profit organization to apply for the CPP24. The award will be $10,000 to each contemporary dance choreographer and his/her dance artists for the sole purpose of generating a new work in contemporary genres. Contemporary ballet and classical ballet works are not included.
The focus of the CPP24 is to fund a new premiere work. A partially created piece may be funded, but it must be a recently created work terminated, cancelled, or interrupted due to COVID-19. An artist cannot recreate, edit or redo an historic work. Only original, new works will be funded.
This invitation-only choreography pilot program application is non-transferrable to anyone outside of the roster of invited artists who DMF Inc. contacted originally.
Funding is for 2024 only. The entire project must be completed by November 30, 2024.
